Unit Price Comparison

Compare two package prices by cost per matching unit.

METHOD & NOTES

How unit price comparison works

Compare two package prices by cost per matching unit.

Formula and convention

Unit price = package price / quantity. Savings compare the cheaper price to the more expensive one.

A worked example

A at 6 per 500 units costs 0.012 per unit. B at 10 per 1,000 costs 0.010 per unit.

Scope and precision

Use the same unit for both quantities. Quality, waste, taxes, discounts, and storage costs are not assessed.

Displayed results may be rounded. Inputs are processed locally and are not stored by this site. Keep the original values if you need to reproduce the result.
