EverydayCalc/Weighted Grade

Weighted Grade

Combine scores using weights normalized to their total.

METHOD & NOTES

How weighted grade works

Combine scores using weights normalized to their total.

Formula and convention

Weighted average = sum(score x weight) / sum(weights). All weights must be positive.

A worked example

Scores of 80, 90, and 95 with weights 20, 30, and 50 give 90.5.

Scope and precision

Scores use a 0 to 100 scale. Weights need not sum to 100. School-specific rules and incomplete assignments may be handled differently.

Displayed results may be rounded. Inputs are processed locally and are not stored by this site. Keep the original values if you need to reproduce the result.
